Hotel Rey Juan Carlos I develops an efficient energy system aimed at saving energy costs and reducing CO2 emissions.
 
The Hotel Rey Juan Carlos I has put into operation an efficient energy system that cuts down gas consumption by 40%. This system recycles the heat produced by burners to warm up water through a secondary circuit that takes this energy, which would otherwise be wasted, back into full use. This “recovered” energy is currently being used in our Fitness Centre, in Saunas and Jacuzzis, and in two swimming pools.
 
By using this new and innovative system, the Hotel reduces 1,150 tons of CO2 emissions and saves the equivalent of what 1,144 families spend in a year, an important contribution to preserve our environment. Its implementation has also helped to eliminate contamination by legionella in the air conditioning conducts.
