Superaron mis expectativas
No solo habeis estado a nivel de nuestras expectativas sino que las habeis superado con creces. Ya estamos planeando un pequeño viaje exclusivamente a Barcelona.
Muchisimas gracias por la habitacion, fue mucho mas de lo que esperaba.Estamos impresionados todavia.Es preciosa, amplia y las vistas de ensueño. El desayuno fue riquisimo, y la atencion excelente.
El personal es muuuuuy agradable y con sonrisa franca y agradable...

La atención de cada uno de vosotros con los que traté antes y durante el evento, fue excelente, así que también os lo quiero agradecer a todos. Cada paso se fue produciendo sin ningún problema, todo fue rodado, incluso pudimos ajustarnos en el horario, lo cual yo veía más complicado.
Muchas gracias de nuevo, cualquier cosa aquí estoy y está claro que cuando tengamos la oportunidad volveremos a contactar con vosotros para futuros eventos.

Quedó todo increíble y se sucedieron las felicitaciones de unos y de otros durante toda la noche.
El enclave fue inmejorable, el hotel maravilloso y los salones perfectos, el servicio impecable y no hubo ni un solo fallo ni pero en el todo el discurrir de la velada.
Ha sido un verdadero placer y un auténtico lujo trabajar con vosotros, ya que desde el primer momento todo fueron facilidades, tratos cordiales y rapidísimas gestiones en todo lo que fue surgiendo, que no fue poco.
Una vez más un millón de gracias, porque buena parte del éxito de la cena del 19 de noviembre es vuestro.

My husband and I stayed at your hotel for a night before we joined our cruise boat from Barcelona in May.
We had a lovely stay. Your hotel is beautiful, the view from the room was fantastic and we appreciated the small sweet touches like the strawberries in our room. At breakfast, we had the best orange juice we have ever tasted – how do you do that??

We had a perfect stay at your hotel and would recommed it to any one and will definatley stay again when we return to Barcelona.
"sejour de reve"
On a pris une offre de séjour sur voyage prive!nous n'avons pas été déçus.l'hôtel est grandiose,son hall d'entrée et son ascenseur,ainsi que le garden!!
Le personnel était au petit soin avec nous,la chambre superbe toute équipée,salle de bain au top!les piscines,et restaurant sont parfaits!!!le buffet du petit déjeuner est grandiose!je conseille une journée à la piscine du spa et a son fitness bar beaucoup moins frequentés!l'entrée est à 16euros.
On a passé un super weekend en amoureux!nous avions réservé pour 3jours et 2 nuits mais ce n'est pas suffisant!!nous y retournerons plus longtemps la prochaine fois.
Je conseille de prévoir un petit budget pour tous les extras de l'hôtel auquel on ne peut résister!!

Amplia habitación, perfectamente equipada, cómoda. Máximo lujo para el relax.
We chose the hotel mostly because it had a swimming pool, and we were pleasantly surprised. We had a large room on the 8th floor with a good view and wonderful bath and shower. We chose to have 2 single beds side by side so lots of room. Do take the breakfast option when booking - it includes as much of everything as you want: cooked (eggs, sausage, bacon, spanish omelette etc), cereals, toast, fresh fruit (eg strawberries, cherries, melon slices, pineapple pieces etc), coffee, tea, juice etc etc.
The free swimming pool was very good too - including a shallow pool for young children - towels supplied too.
We were worried at first that we were too far out of town - at the end of metro line 3 (Zona Universitaria) but the station was only a 5 min walk away and the train took about 15 mins to reach the centre. By the way the hotel is just off Avenue Diagonal so the address is a bit misleading. Leave the metro at the Avenue Diagonal exit and as you emerge you can see the hotel up to the left, behind the conference centre of Catalunya.
Perhaps the only downside for us was that there were no local restaurants for evening meals and the hotel only had one restaurant open from 8.30pm which was quite expensive so we made sure we ate in town before returning to the hotel.

El pack romántico del 25 de septiembre perfecto, tanto el trato del personal, como la cena en el Garden, desayuno y demás.... os felicito en todos los sentidos y sin duda recomendaré este hotel a todos mis conocidos.
A very enjoyable stay
The room was great
My boyfriend and I visited this hotel for two nights in May, and got an excellent rate through Expedia.
Don't be put off by the grey tower block - the hotel interior and facilities are absolutely lush, in particular the pools, spa and fitness area which were lovelier than any other I've been to (even my expensive London gym). Its worth the stay just to use those facilities, especially on a hot hot day when you are sticky and sweaty after sightseeing.
It's about 15-20 minutes into the centre of Barcelona by bus or metro from the Avenue Diagonal, and even after a big night out (in La Ribera - definitely preferable to the tacky Las Ramblas), we managed to find a bus home at 2am.
The room was great - a massive bed, huge windows with a great view of Barcelona, and the most amaaaazing shower I can remember.
My only advice - if you are not made of money, bring your own drinks and snacks for the room, and eat out locally rather than at the hotel. Each room has a minibar but - phew - costs started with a small pack of Pringles at 7 euros! Breakfast (which we ate out at a little cafe) was extortionate - 16 euros for a fruit platter, 5 euros for cereal and milk. Enough said. But we brought our own Pringles (we are v classy like that...!) and were more than happy squeezing our bottle of wine into the minibar fridge.
I would definitely stay here again next time we visit Barcelona, if only for the splendid pool, lovely gardens and excellent spa.

Great hotel for conferences
I stayed at Rey Juan Carlos I for a conference. The service is excellent: Friendly (and lots of) staff. The rooms are very clean, lots of towels, shampoos etc in the bathroom. Lots of hot water which stay the same temperature during your shower.
The infosystem on the tv didn't work, but who uses that?
Wireless everywhere, and ethernet plug in rooms. A bit slow, and too expensive: 20 Euros a day!! It really should be free on a hotel like this.
Amazing lobby. Worth a visit alone.
Nice conference rooms with good chairs.
Funny that they send a maid to your room at about 18:00 in the afternoon to take of the cover on your bed!

fantastic spa and great architecture
I say ignore them and give this place a go, it's great.
Being a member of the leading hotels of the world leaders club myself, i have stayed in many of their properties and this one is no different to what i've come to expect.
The spa facility is one of the best i've visited, with no end of saunas, solariums and plunge pools, the indoor pool is fantastic and the outdoor pool nice and warm. [On a side line, one of the reviewers below that mentioned that you had to buy pool shoes neglected to mention that they only cost 2 euros, if you didn't think to use the complimentary slippers from your room!!!]
Breakfast is great and i can understand the comment about "not too great a selection" if you are used to the sunday brunch at the bellagio in las vegas but otherwise it is quite acceptable with every item i could think of to choose from.
Yes, i would say that the hotel is a decent way from the centre of barcelona but in any big city you are going to struggle to find a large modern, spacious hotel set in gardens right in the centre. We did all the main attractions using the underground which is located about 200 yards from the hotel and takes you direct to las ramblas in about 15 minutes door to door with no problem at all. Infact it was nice to get out of the town and into a quiet outdoor pool at the end of each day.
Finally, i must say that the staff were brilliant and did everything to help us when we needed it and the always did it with a smile on their face.
Forget the moaners and give it a try.
Feeling like a King
hello. I had a wonderful stay in ray juan carlos. I took my girlfriend in the hotel for 3 days and my stay was very very nice. the room was excellent. the girl at the reception gave us a room with a view of barcelona and the city. the amenities are excellent as well. swimming pool very nice design and the restaurants delicious. you should go there. everything was wonderful. thank you.
Excellent stay
Cant go wrong everything 1s class - service, breakfast, rooms, value, pools, spa, lobby, great for both pleasue and buisness.
dont be put off that it is not in city centre- with metro, taxi, bus and tram very easy to get to where you want. Its away fom the mass crowds, there is excellent shopping near by and easy reach to airport.
holiday stay in Barcelona

- wonderfull lobby
- luxury classic rooms with nice views, daily free bothle of water(2)
- Very luxery bathroom with seperate shower, daily slippers and a lot of towels(4 per person), toilet produkts of "Hermès!
- breakfast with a la carte hot dishes(eggs,wafles,ect..)
- garden (2500m2) with 2 open air pools (heated), you forget you are in a city!!
- wonderfull gastronomique restaurant in the garden(nice setting)
- very friendly staff
- quiete hotel in busy city, surounding by sportclubs(polo, tennis, football ect)
- nice poolbar in the garden
- Spa with indoor pool, fittness(350m2), sauna & welness,ect..
- near metro (universitat) 300 m
- with a summer deal very interesting, even with kids(€ 209 breakfast included for 2 adult and 1 kid)
contra:
- breakfast is indoor , no windows
- need a more casual restaurant
- price of the drinks (but you are in a 5 star)
Wonderfull hotel even for holiday in a nice city.
